If you or someone close to you is feeling troubled and experiencing any of the following situations, it may indicate that the distress is affecting daily life.
A. Psychological State: Frequently feeling anxious, frustrated, emotionally unstable, or lacking interest in many things.
B. Physical State: Sleep issues (difficulty falling asleep, oversleeping, or waking up frequently), eating problems (loss of appetite or overeating), or other physical discomforts.
C. Life Changes: Social relationships becoming distant, increased interpersonal conflicts, or sudden changes in daily routines.
If any of the above situations occur, consider seeking counseling to assess individual mental and physical well-being and assist in getting back on track.

Children typically don’t express their difficulties directly, but their behavior in daily life can offer clues. You can observe the following points to determine if your child needs counseling:
A. Emotional State: Emotional instability, irritability, or feelings of anxiety and fear.
B. Social Relationships: Difficulty establishing relationships with others, over-dependence, excessive caution, or frequent conflicts with peers.
C. Developmental State: The child's physical or psychological development is inconsistent with their age group.
If your child exhibits any of the above signs, you can come for a consultation, discuss it with the therapist, or have the therapist assess the situation.

Psychological counseling is typically once a week, but the frequency of sessions depends on the individual's needs, resources, support system, and the degree of distress.
We encourage you to actively discuss this with the therapist, who will offer professional recommendations and help you arrange suitable sessions based on your specific situation.

Yuan Pin became the first legally approved communication counseling institution in Tainan in 2021 and officially offers teletherapy services.
You can receive counseling through video calls whether you are in Taiwan or abroad, following the "《Guidelines for Psychologists Conducting Telecommunication Psychological Consultation.》 However, according to current regulations, phone counseling services are not yet available.

All conversations and information shared during counseling are strictly confidential. Confidentiality is a key principle in the professional ethics of psychologists and is mandated by 《The Law Of Psychologists》.
However, there are exceptions to confidentiality. The therapist will explain their legal reporting obligations when you sign the counseling agreement.

In Taiwan, psychologists are professionals who have completed their graduate studies in psychology, fulfilled internship requirements, and passed national certification exams. There are two main types: 「Counseling Psychologists」 and 「Clinical Psychologists」. The specialties differ based on their service areas and professional training.
If the therapist identifies significant emotional distress or a need for medication, they will refer the individual to a psychiatrist for diagnosis and treatment. Psychologists can continue to assist the individual after receiving instructions from a doctor.

Psychologists each have different specialties, therapeutic approaches, and target groups. We recommend you browse through the professional team introductions or schedule an initial consultation, where staff can assist in matching you with the appropriate psychologist.
Building a counseling relationship takes time, and there may be an adjustment period. If you feel the fit isn’t right, it’s encouraged to discuss your concerns with the therapist and adjust the direction of counseling. If, after communication, you still feel uncomfortable, you can discuss ending or transferring to another psychologist. It’s generally not advised to consult multiple psychologists at the same time to avoid conflicting therapeutic processes.
